Defense. Shoots left. 6'4'', 205 lbs. Born, Thunder Bay, Ont., January 13, 1987.
NY Rangers' 1st choice, 12th overall, in 2005 Entry Draft.

Staal scored his first NHL goal against the Devils' Martin Brodeur on Nov. 14 in a 4-2 Rangers win.

The Staal Brothers – Eric (Carolina), Marc (NY Rangers) and Jordan (Pittsburgh), became the 47th set of three-or-more brothers, in National League history, to play in the League. They are the first trio of brothers to compete in the NHL in the same season since Kevin (NY Islanders), Kelly (Washington) and Kip (Pittsburgh) Miller played during the 1998-99 season.

Marc is the only one of the Staal brothers to have won a World Junior Championship – he won two (2006 and 2007).
