2007-08 Statistics as of Jan. 24/08: 35 GP – 3 G – 13 A – 16 Pts. – 14 PIM
A hairline fracture in his right foot forced him out of the lineup for 10 games from October 10 through November 3.

Johnson is spending his rookie season living with Hall of Fame defenseman Al MacInnis and his family.

Johnson scored his first NHL goal (game winner) against the Los Angeles Kings on October 6.

When Johnson was selected first overall in the 2006 Entry Draft by the Blues, he became the fifth U.S.-born player to be selected first overall. He joined Brian Lawton (1983, Minnesota), Mike Modano (1988, Minnesota), Bryan Berard (1995, Ottawa) and Rick DiPietro (2000, New York Islanders). Patrick Kane of the Chicago Blackhawks became the sixth U.S.-born player to be picked first overall in 2007.
