Goaltender. Catches right. 6', 195 lbs. Born, Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic, July 2, 1976.
Montreal's 11th choice, 226th overall, in 1994 Entry Draft.
2007-08 Statistics as of Jan. 24/08: 45 GP – 20 W – 20 L – 4 OT – 2610 Mins. – 121 GA – 3 SO – 2.78 Avg.
Less than a minute into his All-Star debut in 2004, Vokoun had Minnesota Wild defenseman Filip Kuba inadvertently deflect a rebound past him into their own net. Vokoun: "I've been having a little bad luck here lately, so that was understandable. I gave up four goals, but this is an All-Star game and it's designed to be like that. It was still a great experience no matter what, and it's been fun to be here."

Vokoun played with a small camera mounted to the top of his mask at the 2004 All-Star SuperSkills. The camera gave viewers a goaltender's perspective during the In The Zone portion of the contest, in which Vokoun attempted to stop five shots fired by the Islanders' Adrian Aucoin, Atlanta's Ilya Kovalchuk and Toronto's Gary Roberts.

Vokoun made his debut in North America at the age of 19 in Wheeling, West Virginia (ECHL). On his first year of pro hockey: "I think the most difficult thing was the lifestyle – the language barrier and everything. It was a hard year, really hard. When you're in it, you don't know any better so you go through it. Then later you realize it was pretty tough."

Vokoun was the last remaining Nashville Predator from the 1998 Expansion Draft before being traded to Florida.

His selection to the Eastern Conference team reunites Vokoun with former Nashville teammate Kimmo Timonen.

Vokoun's favorite team growing up was the Montreal Canadiens (who drafted him in 1994), while his favorite player was Dominik Hasek. He was a childhood friend of New Jersey Devils forward Patrik Elias.
