Ryan GETZLAF (GEHTZ-laf, RIGH-uhn) Anaheim Ducks
Center. Shoots right. 6'3'', 211 lbs. Born, Regina, Sask., May 10, 1985.
Anaheim's 1st choice, 19th overall, in 2003 Entry Draft.
2007-08 Statistics as of Jan. 24/08: 51 GP – 19 G – 39 A – 58 Pts. – 65 PIM
Getzlaf led the Stanley Cup champion Ducks in post-season scoring in 2007, setting a franchise record with 17 points (7-10-17).

It has been quite a year for Getzlaf – beginning with a two-goal performance in the 2007 YoungStars Game in Dallas (Jan. 23/07), a Stanley Cup title in June and being named to his first All-Star Game this January.

His brother Chris, a rookie receiver with the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League, won the Grey Cup championship in 2007.

When Getzlaf was taken in the 2000 WHL Bantam Draft by the Calgary Hitmen, he was listed at 5'9" and 140 lbs. "He went from 5-foot-9 to 6-foot-3 in a year and a half," recalled Regina Pats director of scouting Todd Ripplinger. "And he still kept his coordination and skill."
