Ribeiro led the Stars in scoring with 59 points (18 goals, 41 assists) in 81 games last season, his first in Dallas after playing the first six seasons of his NHL career with the Montreal Canadiens.

Ribeiro already has established a career high for goals in a season with 22 through games of Jan. 20. He also led the NHL in shooting percentage, netting the 22 goals on 68 shots (32.4%). Only three players in Stars history have tallied more goals through the club's first 50 games: Mike Modano (1993-94, 28, and 2001-02, 27); Brett Hull (2000-01, 27) and Jere Lehtinen (2005-06, 24).

Ribeiro was born in Montreal and grew up a Canadiens fan. He was drafted by Montreal in 1998. Ribeiro on when he first wore a Canadiens jersey as a youngster: "To tell you the truth, I was so young, I don't remember."
