Hossa led the Thrashers in goals (43), assists (57), points (100), plus-minus (+18), shots (340) and shorthanded goals (three) in 2006-07, becoming the first Thrashers player to reach the century mark in points. He also set career highs in assists, points and power-play goals. He was particularly strong down the stretch, tallying 34 points (12 goals, 22 assists) in the final 25 games of the season as Atlanta rallied to capture the Southeast Division title and the first playoff berth in franchise history. The Thrashers went 38-10-7 when he recorded a point.

Played on a line with Radek Bonk and Markus Naslund at his All-Star debut in 2001; played with Joe Thornton and Glen Murray in 2003 All-Star Game, and had four assists playing with Dany Heatley and Daniel Briere at 2007 All-Star Game.

In November 2006, Hossa founded "Hossa's Heroes," a community program designed to enhance the lives of local children from the Make-A-Wish Foundation by providing them with unique experiences throughout Atlanta.
