| Marian GABORIK (GAB-rihk, MAIR-ee-uhn) |
Minnesota Wild |

Minnesota Wild head coach Jacques Lemaire: "He's got great hands to score. He's got very good hands to make a play. He's got such quick hands. He's going to play with the puck, back and forth, and he lets it go quick. Nobody can do that like him."
Wild GM Doug Risebrough: "He might have the best acceleration in hockey. It's not just the fact he's quick. He's deceptively quick. He just gets going fast. Players know, if he's five feet behind them, there's a good chance he'll go by them. One of our strategies was to build a team that could skate, a team that could outpace everybody. I think it's been one of our strengths. He's been kind of the perfect model for this team."
Calgary Flames D Robyn Regehr: "It's a total adventure when a guy like Gaborik, with all that speed, is skating forward and you're skating backward. And even if you're with him, one bad bounce, next thing you know he has the puck in the slot and you're in trouble."
Minnesota Wild C Pavol Demitra on his chemistry with the fellow Trencin, Slovakia native: "He can read me. I can read him. It's an easy game for both of us."
Hall of Fame defenseman Denis Potvin: "I think Gaborik is as wonderful a player as there is in the game. There's something about his body language that excites me more than Sidney Crosby. There are very few guys in my book as fast as him, and there's never a hitch in his handling the puck. And the quick release with the wrist shot is ridiculous."
Minnesota Wild RW Mark Parrish after witnessing Gaborik's five-goal game: "Shades of Pavel Bure ... I mean, Gabby was banking them in out of the air, scoring on breakaways, skating through everybody, making highlight-film goals. My God, he was doing it every which way."
