Marc SAVARD (sa-VAHR, MAHRK) Boston Bruins
Center. Shoots left. 5'10'', 196 lbs. Born, Ottawa, Ont., July 17, 1977.
NY Rangers' 3rd choice, 91st overall, in 1995 Entry Draft.
2007-08 Statistics as of Jan. 24/08: 48 GP – 12 G – 44 A – 56 Pts. – 38 PIM
Savard had a four-assist, five-point night at Los Angeles against the Kings on Oct. 12.

Since the beginning of the 2005-06 campaign, Savard has recorded 179 assists – the league's third-highest total behind San Jose's Joe Thornton (228) and Pittsburgh's Sidney Crosby (188).

He wears sweater #91 because the New York Rangers made him the 91st overall pick of the 1995 Entry Draft.

Savard was only the third player in OHL history to win two scoring titles – 1994-95 and 1996-97 with the Oshawa Generals.
