St. Louis President John Davidson: "He's been consistent and he's given our team a chance just about every night. To see him get attention like that from around the league is very gratifying and deserving. He's earned it because he's worked hard and he's a good team player. He takes full responsibility if he doesn't play well – or as good as he can – and he lets people know that."
St. Louis goaltending coach Rick Wamsley: "We really felt if he played lighter that he was going to feel better and move better. To me, Manny has always been a great first-save goalie. Now, he's also a second-save goaltender, after improving his leg strength and becoming more efficient with his movements in goaltender-specific workouts we threw at him."
