Kimmo TIMONEN (TEEM-oh-nehn, KEE-moh) Philadelphia Flyers
Defense. Shoots left. 5'10'', 194 lbs. Born, Kuopio, Finland, March 18, 1975.
Los Angeles' 11th choice, 250th overall, in 1993 Entry Draft.
2007-08 Statistics as of Jan. 24/08: 46 GP – 7 G – 20 A – 27 Pts. – 28 PIM
Timonen has registered 40 or more points in each of the past five seasons and has averaged over 20 minutes per game for each of the past seven campaigns – figures he is on pace to match with ease in 2007-08.

A charter member of the Predators franchise (1998-99 through 2006-07), Timonen remains the franchise's all-time leader in games (573) and assists (222).

Timonen made his All-Star debut in 2004 and was paired with St. Louis defenseman Chris Pronger. Timonen logged 19:52 of ice time, the third-highest figure on the team. Timonen: "It was pretty much exactly what I expected, but maybe a little more skating. There were guys that were backchecking out there. But it was still more of a floating, offensive-style game."
