JOVANOVSKI EARNS ALL-STAR NOD
Jim Gintonio writes in the Arizona Republic, "Coyotes defenseman Ed Jovanovski, selected Thursday for his fifth NHL All-Star Game, said he relishes the experience. "I had a blast at the previous four," he said. "It's always nice to represent the Coyotes and the organization. It's a great honor, a fun weekend. The game is what it is... fun to go out there and enjoy the talent and a fun weekend for the family." Jovanovski, who was the first overall selection in the 1994 entry draft by Florida, led Coyotes defensemen in assists (22) and points (25) entering Thursday night's game against Edmonton."
JOVO POWERS THE POINT
Bob Duff writes in the Windsor Star, "Skating toward the visitor's penalty box, if his eyes had been lasers, Windsor's Ed Jovanovski would have burned holes clear through referee Don Koharski. Called for holding Detroit's Johan Franzen late in the second period of Saturday's 3-2 loss to the Red Wings at Joe Louis Arena, Jovanovski, the Phoenix Coyotes defenseman, was definitely filling the role of conscientious objector. He's been having more than his share of differences of opinion with authority figures of late."
