Brian CAMPBELL (KAM-behl, BRIGH-uhn) Buffalo Sabres
Defense. Shoots left. 6', 190 lbs. Born, Strathroy, Ont., May 23, 1979.
Buffalo's 7th choice, 156th overall, in 1997 Entry Draft.
2007-08 Statistics as of Jan. 24/08: 48 GP – 4 G – 29 A – 33 Pts. – 6 PIM
Campbell works with Summit Educational Resources, a school that focuses on helping children with autism. Besides spending time with children, he also designed a t-shirt with his caricature on it to raise awareness and funds for Summit. Campbell on his experience: "For me, I take a lot out of it. Those kids are happy and having fun all day. You look at things that go on in my life and other people's lives, and what truly are the important things are helping people like that."

Campbell was named the CHL player of the year in 1998-99 after leading the Ottawa 67's to a Memorial Cup Championship. He joins Sidney Crosby as the only other 2008 All-Star to have won the award.

Campbell made his all-star debut in 2007 after being voted to the starting lineup – - he led all Eastern Conference defensemen in fan balloting (602, 982) and had the third highest vote total among all players, behind Sidney Crosby and Joe Thornton.

Campbell on his All-Star Game debut: "When I found out I was on the ballot, I thought it was for the American (Hockey) League ballot. Then finding out after two weeks you're first or second in voting, I was taken aback. I never thought I would be standing here."
